Where will you be working?
We are Huhtamaki Fiber Technology, the international R&D center and machine line developer of the major packaging group Huhtamaki. Full of passion, we develop machine lines that enable the production of sustainable packaging for the food industry, among others. We have established a modern test center, a factory and various other departments under one roof. With us, everything revolves around innovation; sustainable innovation! Not only because our customers and end-users from the global retail market ask for this every day, but also because we ourselves strive for a world with sustainable packaging materials. A good example is our Fresh project, in which we developed fully compostable packaging for ready meals. And the best part: this packaging results in 82% less CO2 emissions and no plastic waste. About the position

• You actively advise relevant departments and managers on organizational and technical aspects. Key priorities are safety, environment and hygiene.
• You are a visible and driven manager who strongly promotes the importance of safety, hygiene and the environment;
• You are responsible for developing, realizing and fine tuning the HSE policy and you monitor its implementation;
• You have ongoing contact with the MT and make sure your projects are on the agenda for the consultation meetings;
• You are also responsible for carrying out checks on the functioning of the HSE system and carrying out (or having carried out) (internal) audits and verifications;
• As HSE Manager, you know better than anyone how important it is to keep people well informed about the latest developments. You enjoy coaching people and explaining to them why something is important; 
• Your challenges lie mainly in health, environment and safety. You are aware of the latest laws and regulations and also ensure that the necessary hygiene certifications are in place.

Criteria

What do we ask of you?

• You are a Higher Professional Education (HBO) graduate, and have the necessary experience in the field of HSE, preferably in a technical or production environment; 
• You communicate clearly at various levels, and know how to convince people;
• You enjoy engaging with colleagues and are skilled in gaining the support and commitment of the organization in a natural manner; 
• You thrive on a challenge and create connections. Pragmatic as you are, your stand among your colleagues.
